About The Club
One neighbourhood team, fifteen seasons, hundreds of young ballplayers. This is who we are and why we play.
Who we are
A Youth Club Built On Weekends And Volunteer Spirit
Bases Loaded began in 2010 with two borrowed bats, a council pitch and eleven kids who had never seen a live game. Today we run six age-group squads from under-9s to under-18s, all coached by trained volunteers and all playing out of the Arena Stadium in Northfield.
Winning matters to us — our trophy cabinet says so — but selection never depends on ability to pay. Kit, transport bursaries and free holiday camps keep the game open to every child in the borough.

Our History
Fifteen Seasons In The Making
2010
First pitch in the park
Coach Alan Wright gathers eleven kids on a Sunday morning in Victoria Common. Bases Loaded plays its first friendly that September — and loses 14–2.
2014
A home of our own
The club signs a community lease on the Arena Stadium ground and, with parent volunteers, builds the backstop, dugouts and the first clubhouse extension.
2018
First City League title
The under-14s go unbeaten through the spring to deliver the club's first league championship, sparking a run of four titles in five seasons.
2022
The foundation launches
Bases Loaded in the Community becomes a registered charity, funding free school sessions, kit banks and holiday camps across south Birmingham.
2025

Fans Corner
The Loudest Stand In Youth Baseball
The Home Crowd drums through all nine innings. The Away Days group travels to every road fixture with subsidised coach seats. And the junior fan zone — face paint, speed-gun cage and mascot visits — keeps under-10s busy from gates-open to first pitch.
