The Spark At The Top Of The Order
Diego arrived from Madrid three years ago with a glove, a grin and the quickest first step our coaches had ever timed. Now he sets the tone: leadoff hitter, starting shortstop and the player every ground ball seems to find when the game is on the line.
Last season he hit safely in fourteen straight games, stole twenty-two bases and turned nine double plays — including the 6-4-3 that sealed the Championship Cup final.

What His Coaches Say
“Diego plays like the game is faster for everyone else. His range at shortstop lets our pitchers attack the zone, and his eye at the plate means the big hitters always come up with runners on.” — Coach Daniel Reyes
This winter Diego joins the regional winter-ball programme and will captain the under-16s at the national youth tournament in June.
